Privacy Policy

PITCH is a sports network for athletes, coaches, scouts and sports organizations. PITCH (pitchsport.app) provides this service ("we", "us"). For any privacy question or request, email privacy@pitchsport.app.

• Account: your email address (private, never shown to other members), your name and username (public), and your password, which is stored only in protected form. If you sign in with Google, Google gives us your name, email address and profile photo. We never receive your Google password.
• Date of birth: required at sign-up. You must be at least 13. Your date of birth is always private. Only your age number can appear on your profile, and only if you turn on "Show age".
• Optional profile details: gender, height and weight (each with its own show/hide setting), profile type (Athlete, Coach, Hybrid or Scout), sport, position, headline, About text, a website link, career history, awards, stats and volunteering. Organization pages you create store the organization's name, type, sports, location, description, website, logo and cover photo.
• Photos and videos: your profile and cover photos, and photos and videos you add to posts, galleries and messages.
• Messages: private messages you send, including attachments and shared posts and profiles.
• Your content: posts, comments, likes, reposts and @mentions, and volunteer opportunities you publish.
• Location: only an approximate location (city, region or country) that you pick from suggestions. The app never reads your phone's GPS. We convert the place you pick into map coordinates so search results can be sorted by distance. Saved coordinates are rounded to about 1 km. For minors and members of unknown age, city, region and coordinates are hidden from members they do not follow.
• Activity: follows, blocks, reports you submit, notifications and a record of when you accepted our Terms.
• Technical: error reports and basic visit statistics handled by our hosting platform, which may include your IP address and browser details. We do not use advertising IDs or device fingerprinting.

We use your data to run PITCH: to create and manage your account, show profiles and content, power search and Discover, deliver messages and notifications, send account emails (sign-up confirmation and password reset), keep the community safe and respond to reports. We do not sell your personal data and do not use it for advertising.

These companies process data on our behalf, only to provide PITCH:

• Lovable Cloud: hosting, database, accounts, file storage and email delivery.
• Google Sign-In: optional login with your Google account.
• Google Maps / Places: location search suggestions. Google receives the text you type in a location box and your IP address.
• OpenStreetMap Nominatim: backup place lookup. It receives only the place text, and only for signed-in members.

YouTube and Vimeo videos: some posts and profiles include YouTube or Vimeo videos. Nothing is loaded from these services until you choose to play the video. When you do, that provider receives your IP address and may set cookies, under its own privacy policy. PITCH uses YouTube's privacy-enhanced mode (youtube-nocookie.com) and Vimeo's "do not track" option.

We do not use advertising SDKs or third-party analytics SDKs.

Your profile and posts are visible to other members according to your settings. You can also hide your follower and following lists. Shared profile and post links can be opened by anyone, even without signing in.

When a profile or post link is shared (for example on WhatsApp), a preview may show the name, headline or post text, and a photo. Links to the profiles and posts of minors and members of unknown age show only a generic PITCH preview card, with no name or photo.

PITCH is for people aged 13 and over. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13. If we learn an account belongs to a child under 13, we will delete it.

Members under 18 get extra protections:

• Adults cannot start a private conversation with a minor or a member of unknown age unless that member follows them.
• A minor's city, region and coordinates are hidden from members they don't follow.
• Link previews for minors are generic, without their name or photo.

In the app, open your account menu and tap Settings (the Edit profile page), scroll to Delete account, type DELETE, then tap Delete my account.

This permanently removes your account and its connected data: your profile, posts, photos, videos, comments, likes, messages and the organization pages you own. It cannot be undone.

You can also request deletion by emailing privacy@pitchsport.app from the email address on your account.

You can delete individual content on PITCH without deleting your account:

• A post: open the "..." menu on your post (in the feed, on your profile or on the post page), tap Delete, then confirm.
• A comment: tap the delete icon next to your comment, in the feed or on the post page.
• Gallery photos and videos: open your account menu, tap Settings (the Edit profile page), go to Photos & videos and tap Delete next to the item.
• Cover photo: on the Edit profile page, under Cover photo, tap Remove.
• Profile details: on the Edit profile page, tap Delete next to any career, results & stats, award or community entry, or clear a field and save.
• Volunteer listings: tap the delete icon on your listing on the Volunteer page.

Deleted items are removed from PITCH permanently and cannot be restored.

PITCH does not currently let you delete individual messages or your profile photo yourself. For these, or anything else you cannot delete yourself, email privacy@pitchsport.app and we will delete it for you.

All traffic between the app and our servers uses encrypted HTTPS connections. Passwords are stored only in protected form. Shared photos and videos are served through links that expire after a short time.

You can ask to access, correct or delete your data, or object to how we use it, by emailing privacy@pitchsport.app. You can also edit or delete most of your information directly in the app. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under laws such as the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) or Israel's Protection of Privacy Law, including the right to complain to your local data protection authority. We will respond to requests as required by the law that applies to you.

We may update this policy. When we do, we will change the "Last updated" date above and, for important changes, let you know in the app or by email.
